WHERE'S THERE 8 : HAWA MAHAL PALACE

So how glorious is the Hawa Mahal Palace (Palace of the Winds) which is located in Jaipur City, India. Built back in 1799, the design of the palace was formed around Lord Krishna’s Crown. It consists of five floors, an pink and crimson sandstone with white lime. It has 953 windows which create a large amount of breeze even in the hot summers, and due to this reason the name was kept as Hawa (breeze) Mahal. Happy Friday friends!

Loving these sculptures by Philadelphia based artist Aj Fosik. Each piece is carefully handcrafted by arranging hundreds of pieces of wood that's been individually cut, varnished and painted in vibrant colors to create patterning an a overall subject matter. Highly influenced by American Folk Art, Fosik's work has become identified and sought after by both public galleries and private personal collections. HOME SWEET HOME

Sorry for the quietness around these parts, but we've been visiting family and soaking up the sun some. This photo is of my home sweet home on the Cape in Massachusetts, an those 4 people in the middle are my kiddos, mom an brother. Being at the beach is probably one of our favorite places to relax an explore together an so far we've had a wonderful vacation.
