TRENDING TUESDAYS // PLANTERS

I had never been a person with a green thumb but slowly over the years I have acquired one. I have to give full credit to my other half, because he was the one who inspired me to own more plants and helped me perfect the art of taking care of them… aka reminding me to water them, make sure they had sun or shade an giving them extra love when needed. Don’t tell him, but I still kill our plants from time to time but now it’s few an far between. Needless though, todays Trending Tuesdays are a few cool planters I’ve spotted out there an love. Our home is filled with many unique plants and planters. From simple plain pots to a plastic dinosaur who’s back was cut out and is housing a little succulent on our kitchen sink. Planters add a little something special (an a little extra green) to our home and are surely fun to admire. Do you have a planter collecting problem too? TRENDING TUESDAYS : WALL HANGING WEAVINGS

I have been feeling inspired a lot by wall hanging woven pieces, like some of these images I've shared above. I have yet to try my hand at making one, but I'm sure if I did, I would find a new hobby to consume myself with. I would imagine it's slightly therapeutic, like how I find hand sewing to be. TRENDING TUESDAYS : WOODEN TOYS

Wooden toys. Something about the material of wood fascinates me. The organic quality and the lines of the wood showing age an wear. Beyond the traditional wooden toy blocks (an yes I've included some blocks above too) there are so many new wooden objects out there for either play or personal display. Here's a few I've spotted and love. We own a handful of number 5, an each of us has a different color we personally love. Do you own any wood toys you fancy?

TRENDING TUESDAYS : ADVENT CALENDARS

So occasionally, on Tuesdays, I thought I would take a stab at sharing a few things I have seen lately, an I enjoy. Be it a few different trendy DIY's or maybe something more holiday/seasonally appropriate, but needless to say, today's grouping is that of Advent Calendars. We have a few (3 lego advents + one candy advent) set up in our home this year but I love these takes on an advent. The handmade feel, an paper craft is just more personal to heart. After seeing such inspiration, I think next year I'll be rethinking ours a little calendar to make it a bit more special. Do you do a daily advent leading up to Christmas? What's it look like?
