HOME TOUR : ON THE THINK MAKE SHARE BLOG

Would you care for a peek into our home? You would?! Well it’s been almost a year since we’ve moved into our home together, an today I'm excited to be sharing a home tour over on the Think Make Share blog.

I’ll surely go into another post (on another day), where I will chat more about our renovations. All the work, sweat, tears, laughs, challenges, an more that we encountered along the way with buying a fixer upper. But today you can see all of our hard work, an the pretty pictures as you peek into our space. There will always be more home projects to come (that's for sure), but it’s been fun seeing all the progress we've made along the way, an I hope you enjoy it as much as we've enjoyed sharing it today. If you have any questions about things you see, want to know where somethings from, or if you’d just care to just say hello you may ask them on that blog, or on here in the comments below, and I’ll do my best to answer them all.

TRENDING TUESDAYS : ADVENT CALENDARS

So occasionally, on Tuesdays, I thought I would take a stab at sharing a few things I have seen lately, an I enjoy. Be it a few different trendy DIY's or maybe something more holiday/seasonally appropriate, but needless to say, today's grouping is that of Advent Calendars. We have a few (3 lego advents + one candy advent) set up in our home this year but I love these takes on an advent. The handmade feel, an paper craft is just more personal to heart. After seeing such inspiration, I think next year I'll be rethinking ours a little calendar to make it a bit more special. Do you do a daily advent leading up to Christmas? What's it look like? RACHAEL LUST / 2014 HOOPER OF THE YEAR / GROOVE VIDEO

So tell me you've seen this girl, Rachael Lust. A friend recently shared a link to her online and well, if you haven't seen her, you need to watch the video below. This 26 year old mama is the 2014 Hooper of the year. It sounds silly thinking about hula hooping as a child, which I was horrible at and then seeing something like this girls talents. I am kinda in awe and maybe have watched this video more than a far share of times, but it's quite impressive to say the least. Who knew a plastic hula hoop, the right moves and some dedication could result in this. Enjoy & Happy Friday!

So I spotted this photo via Pinterest and added it to my kitchen inspiration board. I love hunting for kitchen ideas to bank on for later. I had a pretty wonderful kitchen I designed at one time, but someday, I hope to redo another dream kitchen for myself, which will hopefully inspire me to cook an entertain a bit more than I am able to do now. HAPPY 2014 + GOLD DIY IDEAS FOR THE YEAR AHEAD

Yay it's 2014! Are you ready for a new year? I hope so. And I hope you had a great (and safe) night last night while you counted down the minutes leading up to today. Though the big party, with the confetti, and screaming friends, the ball drop, an cocktails, may have been last night... I can't help but think of ways to still celebrate the new year in style. This holiday always has me thinking gold, black and white, and as the years have gone by gold has grown on me greatly. Though you may not be throwing a party as crazy as last nights may have been, here are still a few fun DIY's that could be carried over into everyday events for the year ahead.
